As a photographer I think its very important to have an engagement shoot with your potential wedding photographer for many reasons. Your wedding photographer might be one of the best out there but thats their photography ability not their personality he or she may be a total douche bag. Its also good to have a shoot because you want to know if their style is something you like. The best way to see this is by looking at pictures of you both in. Another reason is too start building that rapport with chosen photographer. Turning up on your wedding day with a meet and greet at the local coffee shop is risky. Getting to know your photographer is ok and maybe potentailly being a life long......who knows.

" I can't recommend Andy highly enough. It was a pleasure to have him spend our wedding day with us. Not just friendly and professional but so talanted too. He managed to orchestrate our 'first look' so beautifully. The day and the photos exceeded all of our expectations. The brief was 'low key, relaxed and informal'. Andy nailed it....and so many laughs along the way."
